Painted en plein air and completed in the studio. Created in Sarah Duke Gardens, Durham, NC during early Autumn. It was surprising to see such a beautiful lily at this time of year. Even the lily pads were striking to behold.
About L Diane Johnson
Johnson is known for her landscape paintings created on location from the U.S. to Europe. Beginning her career as a classic portraitist, she turned to the landscape to capture the essence, character and purity of whatever she painted.
