Plein-air painting on location in Giverny, France. A home that Monet once purchased for his step-daughter and her American Impressionist husband. Monet himself designed many of the interior features and exterior windows. A most lovely spot to paint. I stayed in the home which is now an inn with lush gardens of it's own.
Johnson is known for her landscape paintings created on location from the U.S. to Europe. Beginning her career as a classic portraitist, she turned to the landscape to capture the essence, character and purity of whatever she painted. With hundreds of awards and corporate collections behind her, Johnson also has the distinction of being the Founding Editor of PleinAir Magazine. Her forte is painting private gardens and architecture for clients.
