About L Diane Johnson
Johnson is known for her landscape paintings created on location from the U.S. to Europe. Beginning her career as a classic portraitist, she turned to the landscape to capture the essence, character and purity of whatever she painted. With hundreds of awards and corporate collections behind her, Johnson also has the distinction of being the Founding Editor of PleinAir Magazine. Her forte is painting private gardens and architecture for clients. She has painted and taught in Monet's garden in Giverny, France many times, and is known as a "painter's painter" to colleague artists as well as to her collectors.
